Leaf 3D Printing Project- Making a Model of Nature!

Description

This download comes with a VERY thorough Google slide show that leads students through the process, step by step, in order to create a 3D model of a leaf they found on a nature walk, using Tinkercad software.

Students will go on a nature walk to find the perfect autumn/spring leaf. Then students will access the step by step slide show in order to re-create their leaf as a 3D printed model.

Students will need access to a 3D printer, Google Drive, camera (this can be on an ipad or other digital camera) and Tinkercad to complete this STEM Challenge. Please do not purchase, if you do not have access to these items, because they do not come with the purchase.

I also include my leaves (2 files) so that you can print them and use them as examples in your classroom!

Teachers will also receive the Google Slide Show link in order to share with their students, along with teacher notes (2 pages of teacher notes).

This activity would be great for any grade level above 3rd grade!
