Slide 1- Title, students put their names
Slide 2 – PEMDAS- Definitions of each. Exponents is mentioned here but not seen in the rest of the slide show.
Slide 3 – Why are parenthesis important? Students solve questions with and without parenthesis.
Slide 4- What went wrong? Error Analysis- Students will find the mistakes made in solving an expression
Slide 5- Fill in the blanks- Students will rearrange number tiles to form a correct equation.
Slide 6- Silly Story- Students will fill in the blanks to create a silly story. Solving expressions is involved.
Slide 7- Joke- Students solve equations and match the answer to a letter to create the punchline of a joke.
Slides 8-9 Problem Solving- Students will have guided problem solving with word problems. These are open ended.
Slide 10-11 Test Prep- multiple choice questions and explain your thinking.
